Iron Videos

I was looking at the Ironman Canada website, and they have posted the 2010 video and the volunteer video. If you listen closely to the volunteer video, you might recognise the voice of a soon to be famous tribalistic member.... he will be signing autographs at our first workout in November.

A hearty hibernation

Wow... what a surreal adventure. As I sit on my couch, back home in Winnipeg, there is a crooked smile smeared across my face as I look back at the events of last Sunday. Like a montage in a Guy Ritchie movie, fleeting images of water, cycling and pavement pounding rattle around in my head. And, with the addition of the "M-Dot," I can see that Ironman is truly forever. I am also giggling at my last post with the Iron..... I am IRONMAN. Look for the hidden Iron in possible future posts... a little inside secret between toi et moi.

Now I know you have been asking yourself..... what does Tri-Guy do now? How do you come down from something like this? Well, I officially started this journey on the 6th of September. Since then I have been driven and focused on one singular task and now that it is done, I need some down time. As of this morning, I have been "off" for four days and I am following the plan and I am taking ten days "off." Then I will get back to light-moderate exercise.

What of the blog? Hmmmmm. This is a tough decision. However, I think that I will leave it up to my 11 followers and any of you who care to weigh in. What say you? I truly believe we have all been united here in the blogosphere through a common love of triathlon. Thus, if it continues, I am thinking it will continue with that theme. What I am proposing is a hiatus until November when I begin the training season again. At that point, i will resume posting my so-called-life as I get back on the trainer. If during that time, some triathlon related news comes my way, I will post it, but otherwise, time for a well needed hibernation and rejuvination. Feel free to email me your personal thoughts (edwardss@mts.net) and share with me privately anything you have to offer.

In the meantime, I leave you with this tidbit. When it is all said and done, I decided that a little pat on the back was in order. No... it is not a new Cervélo.

Here..... gnaw on this.

"So ya... think ya, might like to go to the show.
To feel the warm thrill of confusion,
that space cadet glow."

So into my cave I crawl, with my belly full and my mind foggy with sleep, satisfied with this year's results as a hearty hibernation hovers in my head eagerly awaiting your thoughts.
