In 2010 I tackled one of the most physically demanding triathlons out there - Ironman Canada 2010. This blog was my attempt to capture all that went into the preparation for crossing that finish line and everything after. After the race I stopped blogging, but for some strange reason I started back up as a way to motivate myself to keep at it, I guess. Regardless, I hope, somewhere along the way, you find something you can relate to.

Back on the hamster-wheel
Well, it has been a few weeks now and I am feeling back in to the swing of some serious triathlon training. My body is not quite where I'd like it to be, but it will come on board soon enough.
With the dump of snow that happened over the past tow days running outside to day was simply not an option and I am feeling a bit toasted form the past week, so I opted to hit the Y for a tread-y run tonight.
Nothing spectacular. A 1 mile warm up @6.5 mph and then the rest of the 45:00 @ 7 mph. The end result was 6.17 miles in 45:00 or 45:00 at an 8:42 pace. See.. nothing great, but better than doing nothing.
